Events organised by Polestar

1. INTRODUCTION

Polestar is a car brand, which produces, markets, and sells electric cars under the trademark Polestar. These Terms and Conditions shall apply for digital and physical events held and/or organised by Polestar.

Global Events (as defined below) are provided by Polestar Performance AB, a Swedish legal entity with company registration number 556653-3096, with its principal place of business at Assar Gabrielssons väg 9, 405 31 Göteborg, Sweden (“Polestar”)

The Polestar entity that is responsible for organising the Event in accordance with the above will hereinafter be referred to as “Polestar”.

By registering for an Event organised by Polestar you are agreeing to these Terms and Conditions.

2. DEFINITIONS

”Terms and Conditions” means these Terms and Conditions for Events. 
“Event” means the event organised by Polestar.
“Global Event” means an Event that is not directed to a specific market.
“Participant” means any person or company representative that participate at an Event. 
“Official” means any Polestar employee or any by Polestar hired personnel present at the Event. 
“Event Date” means the specific date(s) for which the Event shall be held, as communicated by Polestar. 
“Supplier” means any third party supplier delivering services in conjunction with the Event, such as suppliers of transportation, accommodation, food and drink, conference rooms and halls, exhibition halls, technology and similar. 

3. REGISTRATION

To participate at certain Events, you may have to be registered as a Participant, as the available spots for the Event may be limited. 

If you are a consumer, you can find and register for an Event via the website, https://www.polestar.com/uk/events/. 

If you register to an Event as a company representative, you acknowledge and agree that you personally as well as your employer will be bound by these Terms and Conditions. You also warrant that you have the authority to accept these Terms and Conditions on behalf of your employer. 

You can unregister from an Event at any time before the Event has started. If you want to unregister from an Event, please use the link provided in your confirmation email.

4. TRAVEL AND LODGINGS

Travel and lodging will be agreed upon separately. 

5. GENERAL EVENT RULES 

While participating at an Event, Polestar expects all Participants to act in a lawful manner, to not cause any damage to property or persons, and to adhere to common rules for public behaviour and common courtesy in their interactions with Polestar Officials and other Participants. All Participants are required to comply with Polestar’s instructions when attending an Event. Harassment or disturbances of any kind at the Event is strictly forbidden. 

While attending an Event, you must comply with the following restrictions to ensure all Participants’ safety and experience:

  • No live-streaming or recording of the Event is permitted unless acquiring prior permission from Polestar Officials.

  • No marketing of your own products or products from other companies is permitted during the Event.

  • Vehicles shall be parked and/or used at the Event in accordance with Polestar’s instructions at all times.

Polestar reserves the right to exclude any Participant from the Event who, at Polestars discretion, does not comply with these rules. Participants that are suspected of having engaged in criminal activity will be reported to the local Police Authorities. 

6. FOOD AND DRINK INFORMATION

At the Event, Participants may be served food and/or drinks. If you have any allergies or other physical ailments, you are responsible for notifying any Officials of this before accepting any food or drinks. Subject to mandatory legislation, Polestar assumes no liability for any damages incurred by a Participant from eating or drinking anything to which the Participant is allergic or for any other reason should not be consuming.  

7. PERSONAL DATA

When you register for or participate at an Event, Polestar will process your personal data. Polestar processes your personal data in accordance with applicable legislation on the processing of personal data, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), our Privacy Policy as well as our Privacy notice for Event participation.

Polestar may take photographs during the Event, and/or record and live-stream parts of or the full Event. Online Events may be recorded and made available on Polestar’s website. If an Event is photographed or recorded by Polestar, you will be informed about this beforehand

8. CANCELLATION AND CHANGES

Polestar reserves the right, if Polestar deems necessary, for any reason, at any time, and in Polestar’s sole discretion, to cancel a scheduled Event, to change the Event Date, or to change the nature of the Event. For example, this may be done because of scheduling difficulties, relationships with Suppliers, or due to circumstances beyond Polestar’s control, such as war or warlike acts, restrictions by public authorities, fire, strike, blockade, pandemics, prohibition, defects or other similar events. 

Polestar assumes no liability for any damages or other costs incurred by the Participants due to the cancellation of an Event, rescheduling of an Event Date, or due to changing the nature of the Event. 

9. LIABILITY

Polestar reserves the right to claim compensation for damages to property or persons caused by Participants, due to breach of these Terms and Conditions or law.

11. MISCELLANOUS

Should any clause in these Terms and Conditions or part thereof be void or invalid, the other provisions shall remain in force and the clause may be amended to the extent such invalidity materially affects the rights or obligations of either Party in accordance with these Terms and Conditions. 

Polestar reserves the right to change these Terms at any time without notice. The version of the terms and conditions in force at the time you registered for the Event is the Terms and Conditions that will apply to your participation.

12. GOVERNING LAW AND DISPUTE RESOLUTION

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the substantive laws of Sweden.

Any dispute, controversy or claim arising out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions, or the breach, termination or invalidity thereof, shall at first instance be settled by the District Court of Gothenburg.

If you are an European consumer, you have the right to alternative dispute resolution. If a dispute between you and Polestar arises which we are unable to resolve, you may turn to your National Board for Consumer Disputes or use the online complaints platform available on the EU Commission’s website, www.ec.europa.eu/odr.
