Information notice – Job applications
Polestar Performance AB, a Swedish legal entity with company registration number 556653-3096 with address Assar Gabrielssons Väg 9 405 31 Göteborg, Sweden, and Polestar Automotive UK Limited, a UK legal entity with company registration number 11926357 with address Li Close, Ansty Park Ansty, Coventry CV7 9RF, United Kingdom, hereinafter referred to as “Polestar”, “we” and “our”, are joint controllers who will process your personal data as described below.
Purpose and legal basis for processing
We process the personal data that you provide when applying for an announced position, or submitting an unsolicited application, such as your name, contact information and other personal data contained in your job application. Your data will be processed in a technical solution provided by Polestar Performance AB. The purpose of our processing of your personal data is to administer and review your job application for potential employment. The legal basis for processing your personal data in relation to an announced job that you have applied for is that this processing is necessary for the purpose of our legitimate interest in filling the vacant job position. We will then not be able to process your job application for other job openings other than the one you have applied for. If you have sent us an unsolicited application, the legal basis for processing your personal data is your consent, which you give by ticking the consent box prior to submitting the application form. You have the right to withdraw your consent to our processing of your personal data at any time. Please direct a request for withdrawal of consent to [email protected]
Disclosure / Recipients of your personal data / Transfer
Your personal data will be disclosed to and processed by companies within the same group of companies as Polestar. In relation to companies within the same group of companies as Polestar which are located outside of EEA, we will transfer your personal data with the basis of the Standard Contractual Clauses adopted by the European Commission – safeguarding your personal data.
We will retain your personal data for a period of two (2) years after the job that you apply for has been appointed, or after you submitted your unsolicited application.
Your rights and contact information
You have the right to request a copy of the personal data that we store about you. We want to make sure that your personal information is accurate and up to date. Please do not hesitate to ask us to correct or remove information you think is inaccurate. You also have the right to have your personal data deleted and to have our processing of your personal data restricted in certain circumstances. In addition, you have the right to object to our processing of your personal data as well as to receive your personal data, which you have provided to us, in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format and to have these transmitted to another controller. If you are of the opinion that we are processing your personal data in violation of privacy laws and regulations, please note that you have a right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority.
